About
Nancy Ragonese, based in Aiken, South Carolina, is a dedicated advocate for sustainable tourism and community development. A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Business Administration, she began her career in marketing before founding Palmetto Pathways in 2010. Through initiatives like the “Harvest to Market” festival and the “Ride Aiken” equestrian program, her nonprofit has played a vital role in revitalizing Aiken’s local economy.
Deeply connected to Aiken’s rich equestrian and conservation traditions, Nancy actively volunteers with the SPCA Albrecht Center and the Aiken Land Conservancy. An avid equestrian, gardener, and photographer, she finds joy in preserving the natural beauty of her hometown. She shares a family farm with her husband, Michael—her high school sweetheart—their children, Emma and Jackson, and their lively rescue dog, Willow.
Honored with accolades such as the Aiken Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership Award, Nancy lives by the motto, “Grow where you are planted,” as she continues to champion Aiken’s culture and sustainable growth.
